.Net Architecture Guidance announced

Few days back, Microsoft announced the draft version of the .NET architecture guidance. This guidance is the combined effort of the Visual Studio team and the Microsoft Developer Division. As of today, it covers only 4 areas: ASP.NET Web applications Azure Cloud Deployment Xamarin Mobile Applications MicroServices and Docker You can find more about this guidance on Microsoft's documentation.

Skype calls in browser

Microsoft just announced that soon we will be able to make voice and video calls from our web browser. This Skype for Web (beta) calls will work on Firefox, Safari, Chrome and of course IE. As of now, it will work as a plugin but soon it will work natively on all browsers without plugins. So, are you excited to try this out ???

New features of Windows Phone 8.1

2 nd April 2014, during the //BUILD 2014 conference Microsoft officially showcased the set of new features which will be coming as part of Windows   Phone 8.1.  In my this post, I am touching those features. 1) Cortana - new personal assistant:  Cortana is voice-based virtual assistant provided by Microsoft. Microsoft Introduces Bing Code Search Add-On For Visual Studio

Microsoft has launched the 'Bing Code Search add-on'  for Visual Studio, representing companionship between the Bing, Visual Studio and Microsoft Research divisions. The Bing Code Search extension directly assimilates the code snippet search for C# with other languages, coming later into the Visual Studio.  As this add-on is a part of the Visual Studio, programmers will be able to use it to search for the code samples from a number of web-based repositories including MSDN, StackOverflow, Donnetperls and CSharp411.
